It’s summertime! The time of year that is abundant with some of our very best memories – spending long days at the lake, boating, running through the sprinklers, making s’mores around the campfire, and most of all, enjoying the company of family and friends. We love summers up north, and know all of you do too! When we talk about summertime memories, nearly every favorite thing we mention is connected to our childhoods. So this year, we want to make the most of the season by enjoying many of the same things that color our best childhood summer memories — except this time, we’ll be sharing them with one another (and now our own kiddos, too)!
This summer is going to be crazy for us. Not only is it wedding season (our favorite, but busiest time of year), we’re also moving to a new house and Devin is starting a new full time job! But amongst the crazy, we still want to be intentional about how we spend the time God has blessed us with. We have two goals for this summer: to soak in this season to the fullest, and to cultivate our relationships with the people we love – one another, our families, our friends, and our communities. And we would love to see you guys to do the same!
Before diving in, we encourage you to sit down with one another and chat about your own favorite summer memories. From swinging in a hammock overlooking the lake to building sandcastles at the beach, your childhoods are full of date night inspiration. Sit down with your calendars and be intentional about the time you spend together. Make a summer bucket list and start checking things off! You’ll grow closer together and you’ll have the best summer ever!
